{leader's digest}

The Economist, I think, is the best magazine ever. An interesting, thoughtful read, and British at that! The only downside is that it goes for almost twice the price of TIME. Anyhow, you can always read it online at www.economist.com/printedition to get just the real copy - virtually.

It's relevant to all stages of society - from students, to engineers, to doctors, to retired old folks - and to everyone in between.

It is, truly, the leader's digest.

{still}

When everything's been said and done
When the day is all over
When what's missing is the sun
But we are still sober

And we are stripped down
To who we really are
There is no need for sound
No need to look that far

Look inside to the meek
Ask yourself: What do I seek?
Make you a mission, a goal you craft
May you be blessed on this path

{before tomorrow comes}

Alright let's start typing:

I think there's a name for this condition: you know when you've got everything planned out, and it's going nicely, but you panic?

It's like this: I've got all my work planned out for these holidays, then one of my friends tells me she's done this and that (started revision, etc etc) and then I panic! I'm like oh my, I'm so --- left behind!

When actually I am NOT. I've laid out a fantastic timetable, flexible enough to accommodate the unexpected, but still rigid enough to get things done on time. And so I should stand my ground. I shouldn't be affected by others. I've my own nice --- schedule, and it's a terrific one, mind that. And I can't ever be 'left behind' when I follow my schedule; and I can't compare myself to others because they're on different time frames as such.

That's Amalina circa late last year probably.

I get headaches when I pack (I'm going camping tomorrow!). Probably it's because of the running around. I'm not that type of person. I like to work sitting down at a desk. Not that I can't run around as such, but it helps me think better, and facilitates 'creativity' as it were, sitting down.

InsyaAllah will be back this Sunday afternoon. There'll be a week at home, and then after that I'm going away for 10 days.

This isn't an interesting post text-wise. Let's upload some more pics:

This guy's cool: He's Gen. David Petraeus of the US Army. 9 rows of medals! Woah. And word is, he still consistently does 5-mile runs in the Iraqi summer.

I'm almost certain I won't go into the military; previously, I had wanted to join the RBAirF as an officer with aeronautical engineering qualifications.

This is a funny one:

No offense, ladies! =P

{heads up}

"Best Of You" still rings boldly in my head, as if that post was yesterday. Oh my ---, it has been like 2 years since the last post here! My awesome umbrella, what a --- long time!

I like to use '---' a lot. The movie 'Jarhead' used '---' like, over 300 times?

That picture of Amalina was taken on her 16th birthday. She's now 18 and all grown-up (and ever more --- than before) ;)

Well well well.. Let's start with some pics eh?

Oops! It has apparently appeared on the top of this post. That was taken at the beach yesterday - I'm mouthing "Semua orang tuduh aku nah!"

Okay, lemme get this clear - I am an IT idiot. I do not/did not pray for it. But after about 6 years clean of using the internet, and experimenting with all sorts of things from Geocities websites to downloading full-length --- movies using Ares, I have come to the conclusion that I, Muhammad Ayyub, has a low level of proficiency in these things. 'These things' - anything to do with computers and the internet.

So.. As you can see, this blog's layout is a template and Amalina helps me keep things in order. I do not intend on becoming proficient in the art/science of blogging, and --- no, I am not intending for the mainstream blogging community (although it'd be nice to have links to friends' blogs =)).

The status of this thing is still in talks - whether I am gonna do this solo, or whether it's gonna be Amalina's blog as well. Trivial, you may think, but we've always wanted to do something like this online. Multiply baffled me, and since I am more familiar with Blogspot, we thought it'd be a good idea to experiment with posting and stuff here.

Lemme try post another pic:

Hmm.. I think it's something to do with my picture layout settings - all my pics come out at the top =S

I have an announcement for the world: I AM A --- GENERALIST!!!

I specialise in nothing; but I do everything. I am the jack of all, I mean all, trades but am master at none, sadly. I get good marks in GP - proof? Maybe, or maybe not.

That would conclude my first, I repeat, my first --- post in 2 years. Woah

(Let's see how this looks published - unchecked and unedited! 'Cause it's too long! =P)
